Policies
A policy is a named, versioned set of protection rules. Every run records exactly which policy version it executed. Rules are edited during a run — save the changed rules there and they appear here as a new version.

Protect a filePolicies store rule configuration only — column types, rules, and detection patterns. They never contain data from your files.
