Reusable column-rule configurations — no data values, ever. Saved from inside a protect run; versions live on the Policies page.

Data & storage

Files are never stored — this browser holds only configuration and run records: 0 projects, 0 policies, 0 runs, and 0 encrypted vaults.

Your account (only if you sign in)

Saved policies — column names and rule settings — sync so they appear on your other devices. Nothing else is sent to the account.

This browser

Projects; run records and their reports (labels, counts, and rules — never file contents or file names); the column names and types of each project's two most recent files, used only to show what changed since the last file; saved policies; and the usage counter. Deleting a project deletes its runs. Stays until you delete it or clear it below.

Connected services (only if you connect one)

Google: a masked email and a hashed account id, so this browser can recognise the account — the access token stays in the tab's memory. Notion: the token is encrypted in a cookie only the Data Alias server can read. Projects that imported from Google keep the file id, sheet id, and range for “import again” — never the file or sheet name.

Alias vault (only if you create one)

Original-to-alias mappings, encrypted with your passphrase, in this browser only. Never synced to the account; lost if site data is cleared without a backup.

Not stored anywhere

Your files and cell values. A run's mapping lives in the tab's memory and is gone when the tab is refreshed or closed — unless you export it or save it to a vault.
